Legal action is to be filed against the administrators and supervisors of 71 Government and non-government institution ,which were inspected yesterday, for not complying with quarantine regulations, stated Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana.
830 institutions were inspected yesterday and 759 were found to have followed the regulations while 71 have been apprehended for non-compliance. The total number of institutions inspected since the 10th of January is 7,728, while legal action was filed against the managers of 1,160 institutions so far. Further, 16 persons were arrested during the last 24 hours for the offense of non-compliance of social distancing and face mask regulations,the Spokesman said.It was stated that Rapid Antigen Testing is to be conducted at 12 exit points in the Western Province for all long distance buses.
