Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said today that legal action will be taken against a resident of Wanathamulla, a bus owner, and driver for violating quarantine regulations.
He said the resident from Wanathamulla which is an isolated area has been travelling in a bus on the Southern Expressway violating quarantine laws.
“No one is allowed to leave isolated areas or aid anyone to leave as it is a violation of quarantine laws. A resident of Wanathamulla has been travelling in a bus along with 50 passengers yesterday and the bus was taken into custody at Mattala Exit. The passengers are undergoing quarantine and PCR tests will be conducted on them today,” he said.
