Litro claims last three months’ imports per supplier contract specs

22 Dec 2021

  • Contract signed in February 2021 specifies propane in 25-40% range
BY Pamodi Waravita Litro Gas Lanka told The Morning yesterday (21) that all imports within the last three months had fallen within the technical specifications in the two-year contract signed with the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) supplier in February 2021, including the propane percentage being within the range of 25-40%. Whilst addressing the media yesterday, Presidential Expert Committee Chairman Prof. Shantha Walpolage said that the main reason for the recent increase in incidents of LPG-related explosions is the increase in propane in the gas composition within a LPG cylinder and said that this was the case with the samples of related products of both Litro Gas Lanka and Laugfs Gas PLC. Litro Gas Lanka is yet to see the report by the Presidential Expert Committee.
