Magistrate Dammika Hemapala has been interdicted over his leaked telephone conversations with UNP Parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayake.
Hemapala was interdicted by the Judicial service Commission(JSC).
Earlier today, the Attorney General (AG) had directed the Director of Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) to record statements from judges who were involved in the controversial telephone conversations with UNP Parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayake.
Ramanayake who was arrested over exerting undue influence on judges was remanded until 29 January by the Nugegoda Magistrate yesterday(15).
