Maha Sangha urges Muslim Ministers to resume Govt. duties

The Maha Sangha of all Buddhist Chapters requested that all Muslim Ministers who had previously resigned from their post, resume their Government duties. During a special meeting held today (05), the Chief Incumbents in Kandy urged Muslim Ministers to resume their duties. Speaking to reporters later the Anunayake of the Malwatte Chapter, the Venerable Rajakeeya Panditha Niyangoda Vijithasiri Thero said that it was decided to submit a set of policy proposals to the Government and the public. He believed that the resignation of Muslim Ministers should not have happened and that if an individual is facing accusations, they must come forward and prove their innocence.
