Former President Maithripala Sirisena says he has written to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa about the plight of the farmers in the country.
He made such statements while addressing the media today (17) after attending an event.
Sirisena added that the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) had predicted in the past that such a situation would arise among farming communities.
“Everyone should know and accept that the farmers of this country have fallen into a dire state,” the former President highlighted
