A person was reportedly hacked to death with a sharp weapon at Dawson Street in Slave Island, Colombo 2 on Wednesday (16).
The incident had occurred late in the night, while the victim was identified as a 50-year-old by the name of Mohamed Siyabdeen, a resident of Slave Island.
Police said preliminary inquiries have revealed that the murder had been carried out over a personal dispute.
