Mannar Magistrate has ordered the suspension of further excavations at the Mannar mass grave site until further notice.
Mannar Magistrate, T. Saravanarajah gave the order today (08).
Carbon dating reports from Beta Analytic Institute in Florida, US revealed that the bone samples from the gravesite dated back to the period between 1499 and 1719 AD.
