Former Southern Provincial Councillor Manoj Sirisena's name has been gazetted to fill the vacant post of the late United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) Parliamentarian Chandrasiri Gajadeera.
UPFA Matara District MP Gajadeera passed away at a private hospital in Colombo last Friday (6).
Gajadeera’s successor Sirisena was appointed as the Southern Provincial Council Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Culture and Arts, Social Welfare, Probationary Care and Child Protection, Women’s Affairs, Housing and Construction, and Manpower and Employment in January 2018.
