Commonwealth Secretary-General Patricia Scotland expressed her agreement on expanding possible market opportunities in the Commonwealth countries including Sri Lanka.
Scotland expressed the expansion of market opportunities during the discussions held with President Gotabaya Rajapaksa at the Merchants House of Glasgow.
The President is currently in Glasgow, Scotland, UK in order to take part in the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26).
The President also met Nepali Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to discuss increasing flights to Nepal and simultaneously promoting Sri Lanka tourism.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Prof. G.L. Peiris was also present at these discussions.
