Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the island during the evening or night today (23), the Met Department said.
Showers or thundershowers will occur in the Eastern and Uva provinces as well as in the Mullaitivu and Vavuniya districts, the Met Department said.
The Meteorological Department warns the public to take precautionary measures during thundershowers.
The Meteorological Department further states that in case of an emergency, the assistance of the officers of the Regional Disaster Management Center should be sought.
