Minister of Enterprise Development and Kandy Development, Lakshman Kiriella is to hold a discussion with President Maithirpala Sirisena about the presidential directive to dissolve the boards of the Board of Investments (BOI), People's Bank (PB) and the Bank of Ceylon (BOC), The Sunday Morning learns.
Kiriella told The Sunday Morning that he has spoken to the President last night about the matter and is expected to hold a detailed discussion soon.
President Sirisena last night directed the immediate dissolution of the boards of directors of the BOI, PB and BOC.
The directive was to be effective from midnight yesterday.
