Mobile vaccination centres are to be set up for those who are above the age of 60 years and are three months past receiving the 2nd dose of the anti-covid vaccine. This directive was issued by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to the health officials when the COVID-19 prevention committee met this morning (26). The mobile vaccination clinics will be in addition to the hospital clinics which would also be in operation. Furthermore, it was discussed that those above the age of 20 years with non-communicable disease will be administered the covid booster dose one month after the administration of the 2nd vaccine dose. Earlier today, President Rajapaksa had instructed State Minister professor Channa Jayasumana to procure the anti-covid oral drug Molnupirvar via the State Pharmaceutical Corporation.
