A total of 1,057 people have been arrested on charges of violating quarantine laws.
Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana stated that the suspects were arrested within the past 24 hours.
Senior DIG in charge of the Western Province Deshabandu Tennakoon says that the inspection of vehicles entering Colombo will continue.
However, he stated that the sticker system for vehicles entering Colombo has been suspended.
