MPs call for two day debate on Forensic Audit

Parliamentarians of the opposition today (21) called for a two day debate this week on the Central Bank Forensic Audit reports that were tabled in parliament by Speaker Karu Jayasuriya.
JVP Leader, MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake while commending the Speaker's decision called for a two day debate on the Forensic Audit reports during this week.
Dissanayake noted that as the custodian of public finances, the legislature needed to discuss the Forensic Audit report.
Several UNP Mps also backed Dissanayake's request for a debate in the House.
Speaker Jayasuriya said that the decision on a two day debate could be reached after convening a meeting of the parliamentary party leaders.
