Mrs. World Caroline Jurie and former model Chula Padmendra were arrested today by the Cinnamon Gardens Police.
Cinnamon Gardens Police confirmed both were arrested after they appeared at the Police Station to record statements.
They were arrested on charges filed by Mrs. World contestant Pushpika Silva over injuries inflicted at the Mrs. World 2021 pageant held last Saturday (05).
Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana today stated that the complainant had lodged her complaint at the Kurunduwatta police station following the incident. He stated that further investigations are continuing on the matter as well.
