Muslim Ministers who collectively resigned on Monday will submit individual resignation letters to Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
The Prime Minister told Parliament today that the Ministers had submitted a joint letter on Monday saying they were resigning.
However, he said he was later informed that they need to submit letters individually and so that process was now underway.
Speaker Karu Jayasuriya said that once the individual letters and handed over and the process is completed they will be recognized in Parliament as MPs and not Ministers.
Minister Rauff Hakeem said that as far as the Muslim Ministers are concerned they had resigned on Monday and what has arisen now is only a technical issue which will be sorted once the individual letters are submitted.Muslim Ministers to submit individual resignation letters
