A 162-bed Covid-19 Intermediate Treatment Center at the Boossa Naval Base in Galle was completed yesterday (04) by the Navy.
A four storey building used at Boossa Naval Base for the training of amateur sailors was thus converted by the Navy into a Covid-19 Intermediate Treatment Center.
The Intermediate Treatment Center consists of 12 wards with a capacity of 150 beds.
It also has a 12-bed High Dependency Unit (HDU).
A medical staff including two Navy doctors has also been attached to it.
