Justice Minister Ali Sabry has instructed ministry officials and officials of the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau (CECB) to expedite the construction of the new court complex, “Adikarana Piyasa”, which is presented as a replacement to the existing dilapidated courthouse in Hulftsdorp, Colombo.
The new court complex will be built on a six-acre land and will consist of a 12-storey building with 40 courthouses, eight-storey building for the Justice Ministry, and a training centre for the judges, according to the Minister.
Minister Sabry said the initial plans of the project were now nearing completion, and added the project will commence as soon as possible.
