Dialog Axiata PLC has appointed Dato’ Mohd Izzaddin Idris to its Board of Directors, as a Nominee Director of Axiata Group, with effect from 09th August 2018.
Idris will act as a Non-Independent/Non-Executive Director, and by virtue of being a Nominee Director has a relevant interest in 6,785,252,765 (83.32%) ordinary shares of Dialog as at the date of his appointment. The said shares are held by Axiata Investment Labuan Limited which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Axiata Group Berhad.
Dato Izzaddin has over 20 years of experience in the fields of investment banking, financial and general management having served in various senior positions at Malaysian International Merchant Bankers Berhad, Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad, Southern Bank Berhad and was the Chief Financial Officer/Senior Vice President (Group Finance) of Tenaga Nasional Berhad.
Axiata, Asia’s second-largest mobile telecom player, holds an 83.3% stake in Sri Lanka’s Dialog and is the largest foreign investor in Sri Lanka with over US$ 2 billion since its inception in 1995.
