Nivard Cabraal denies allegations against children

Economic Advisor to the Prime Minister, former Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabral vehemently denied reports circulating on social media alleging his children had acted in a violent manner at the airport yesterday (4) when they had arrived from London. Reports alleged that the youngsters had hindered the quarantine process conducted by the law enforcement authorities. However, Cabraal told The Morning that there was no truth in the news repors and denied that his children or any relation connected to him had arrived in the country yesterday. When asked whether he would take legal action, he said he would not take any legal action against something which had been done purposely to cause inconvenience. "I would not waste my time on these sort of fake news published in websites and social media," Cabraal said. Further, in his facebook account, the former Central Bank Governor had stated that the fake news had been posted by a member of an opposition political party and in a website operated by his party.
