Russia's Sputnik V Covid-19 vaccine has been approved for emergency use in Sri Lanka, Minister of State Channa Jayasumana said.
He said the relevant permission has been given by the expert committee of the National Medicines Regulatory Authority.
NMRA Chief Executive Officer Dr Kamal Jayasinghe stated that the official approval would be announced in the evening today.
