There is no issue in burying the bodies of COVID-19 victims' bodies following safety measures, stated Dr. Palitha Abeykoon, Senior Advisor of Ministry of Health and World Health Organization's (WHO) special envoy on COVID-19. He is also the former Director of Health Systems Development, WHO South-East Asia Regional Office. He stated this yesterday in a question posed by the local media. "According to the recommendations of the World Health Organization, there is no problem in burying on security grounds. But the final decision must be made in accordance with the laws of those lands. The World Health Organization cannot be influenced. In my opinion, it is not a problem to bury following safety measures,” he stated.
