Citing the recent extension of ongoing travel restrictions until 07 June, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana stated that the cancellation of leave of all police personnel will be further extended until 15 June.
The Spokesman added that earlier, the leave of all police officers had been cancelled from 11 May to 31 May.
It was also highlighted that a large number of police officers have been deployed in order to carry out duties in relation to curbing the spread of Covid-19 and the move to extend the cancellation of leave is in light of these efforts.
