No necessity for closure of Manning Market: Health officials

Health officials said today that there was no need as of yet to close the Manning Market complex at Peliyagoda where seven COVID-19 positive cases were reported. Kelaniya Medical Officer of Health Dr. Chandima Wickramage said the situation at the market was not grave at the moment. “Today’s meeting was called to inform the traders about taking measures to prevent the spread of the virus. The traders who tested positive are undergoing quarantine,” she said.
