Minister of Power Dullas Alahapperuma said today that there would be no power disconnections at houses in the isolated areas if the electricity bills were not paid.
However, he said the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) cannot make a decision on its own to provide concession to those who fail to pay electricity bills in isolated areas.
“The government has to make decision on how to give concession to the people, similar to how we did before,” he said.
