Minister of Mass Media and Information, Keheliya Rambukwella, stated that the government will not implement new programmes except the necessary programmes that are in accordance with the Vistas of Prosperity policy framework which was approved by 6.9 million citizens of Sri Lanka.
He said this while speaking at the Cabinet briefing held at the Government Information Department today (09), in response to a question from a journalist as to what the government's view was on the request to relocate the Bank of Ceylon building and Sudarshi Hall in Colombo.
The Minister also stated, “Anyone is free to make demands. However, it is up to the government to decide whether to grant the request or not. ”No programme outside of Vistas of Prosperity policy will be implemented: Keheliya
