Director-General of Health Services Dr. Anil Jasinghe today said that the Jinthupitiya Covid patient posed no risk for community transmission.
The patient, a seafarer had tested positive for the virus while on a 14-day mandatory quarantine at his residence in Jinthupitiya, Colombo 13.
154 contacts have been sent to quarantine centres to undergo a 14-day quarantine procedure, Jasinghe said.
