The 3rd generator at the Norochcholai power plant is currently under repairs due to a breakdown, the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) confirmed. Speaking to The Morning, a CEB representative confirmed that repairs are currently underway and certain areas in the Island might have power cuts periodically. "This will not be long, repairs are underway. This should be sorted within the day today," said the CEB representative.
