The number of COVID-19 deaths reported in Sri Lanka increased to 22 with the death of a 27-year-old male from Panadura, the Government Information Department said.
The body of the victim, who committed suicide, was brought to the Panadura Base Hospital on October 31.
The postmortem examination has revealed that the victim has contracted COVID-19 virus and the Epidemiology Unit confirmed the death as the 22nd COVID-19 death in the country.
