1949 - West Indies batsman Everton Weekes set a world record scoring 101 runs in Calcutta to complete a sequence of scoring a century in each of five consecutive Test innings

1902 - Reggie Duff, who usually opened batting, hit 104 runs coming in at No. 10 to help Australia beat England in Melbourne. Only twice Test centuries have been scored by a No. 10 making his debut.
