The concept of One Country One Law does not seem to apply for the Cabinet Ministers as they are treated with double standards says Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Ashok Abeysinghe.
He made this statement during a media brief today (05).
"Susil Premajayantha went to the market and made a statement to the media and the following day he was sacked. Just because he spoke against the President's decision. Clearly, there are double standards of law making even within the cabinet. One minister is treated differently compared to the other. Whereas, 3 ministers within the cabinet went against the cabinet decisions, and nothing was done to them," said Abeysinghe.
He further added that the double standards within the Government shows the preferential treatment of certain ministers within the Government by the President.
