By RUWANI FONSEKA A 'one night stand' between a young woman and wealthy businessman has ended up in the businessman being robbed of all his jewelry, The Morning learns. Speaking to The Morning today (23), a reliable source confirmed that the businessman was hospitalised as he was drugged, robbed of his jewelry items and left sedated in a hotel room by a woman who was supposedly hired for the night. "The wealthy businessman had recently asked his friend to provide him a young woman to spend the night with. The friend had then arranged for a woman to meet the businessman outside a supermarket and the woman had then agreed to spend the night with the businessman. The couple had then drove to a hotel and booked a room. Upon reaching the hotel, the couple had ordered an alcoholic cocktail and during that time the young woman had told the businessman of a performance enhancing tablet which she also said would help him through the night," the source revealed. He went on to reveal that after a short while, the businessman had felt drowsy and the woman had helped him lie down on the bed. "It was then that she sprang to plan. She had taken off his gold chain which was approximately 25 pounds along with a pendant and his ring, which had a precious stone. The woman had also taken the businessman's car keys and had driven the vehicle until she dumped the vehicle on the roadside and had taken another mode of transport for her escape. The businessman is currently in hospital, but he is still not in the state to describe the woman or give much details," the source added. Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka police, upon inspection of the vehicle has found Rs. 1.9 million in cash stashed away in a travelling bag inside the boot of the vehicle. "The woman had not checked the boot of the vehicle. If she had, she would have had a hefty amount in cash as well. The Sri Lanka police is currently investigating the robbery," the source confirmed.
