Opening the country must be decided upon after considering numerous factors, not limited to only the Covid-19 patient infected numbers, Deputy Director General of Health Services Dr. Hemantha Herath stated a press conference held today (10).
He went on to say that the reduction in Covid positive cases is not satisfactory and the trends in terms of the number of Covid deaths are yet to be seen.
Earlier, Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella expressed in a tweet that with numbers steadily declining, the authorities are confident that Sri Lanka will once again be able to reopen without risk.
