The Ottawa Police said that they were aware that a man wanted in Canada for sexual assault, distribution of child porn, and other allegations was in Sri Lanka.
In a notice published in 2015, the Ottawa Police sought information regarding a suspect named Andrew Anton of East Indian decent.
The Ottawa Police said that he was believed to be in Canada or Sri Lanka and was wanted for sexual assault, sexual interference with a minor, distribution of child pornography, and more.
Social media was abuzz last week after it was found that the wanted man was in Sri Lanka and was attached to a leading restaurant.
When contacted by The Sunday Morning, the Ottawa Police media unit said that the Ottawa Police was aware of the information but did not elaborate further.
