925 suspects have been arrested in connection with various offenses during a special operation conducted in the Western Province.
The operation was carried out on the instructions of Senior DIG in charge of the Western Province Deshabandu Tennakoon from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm yesterday (11), police said.
Out of the 925 suspects arrested, 40 suspects have been arrested for criminal offenses, 306 for warrants and 518 for corruption offenses.
The arrested suspects are to be produced before the courts.
