SriLankan London office shifted

21 Jan 2019

The Government said that the Sri Lankan Airlines London office was shifted to reduce losses. Deputy Minister of Civil Aviation, Ashok Abeysinge told The Sunday Morning that there were over 800 workers at the London office of the Sri Lankan airlines and that it was incurring heavy losses. He said that as the carrier operational policies had shifted towards cost cutting, it had been decided that the London office would be shifted to a smaller location. He noted that while the London office had not been shut down, the number of workers had been reduced significantly and that the new office space would cost far less than previous location. The shifting of the office was carried out last week.
