Pakistan-SL ties strong: Imran Khan
Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan yesterday (26) expressed his satisfaction on the growing ties between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
These relations, he added, have been nurtured over decades through continuous interactions at bilateral, regional and international levels.
He expressed these sentiments when a Sri lankan delegation headed by the Sri Lankan High Commission in Islamabad presented 65 eye corneas to sight-disabled people in Pakistan as an initiative to strengthen the bond between the two nations.
Khan said Sri Lanka’s humanitarian and compassionate initiative to donate 65 eye corneas was commendable.
A Sri Lankan Delegation comprised of Chairman of ‘Gift of Sight’ Sri Lanka, Ifthikhar Aziz , the Sri Lankan High Commissioner in Islamabad,N.M. Shaheid.
Early this year Pakistan announced that it would give 1,000 scholarships to Sri Lankan students to study in the best higher educational institutions in Pakistan.
