A parcel containing illegal goods has been found thrown over the wall of the Galle Prison, Prisons Spokesman Chandana Ekanayake.
The parcel was thrown over the boundary wall of the Galle Prison yesterday (29), the Prisons Department said.
Two mobile phones, two packets of 200 small pills, two packets of suspected heroin and 10 cigarettes were found in the package.
The recovered material has been handed over to the Galle Police Headquarters for further investigations.
The Galle Prison is also investigating the matter.
