28 Dec 2020

Parents of school children would be given the opportunity to raise any concerns, especially in terms of COVID-19 preventive measures, with the teachers from January 4 before schools reopen on the 11th, Education Minister Professor G.L. Peiris said today. “Parents of the students of schools that will be reopened on January 11 have the time from January 4th to raise concerns with the teachers, plan meetings and to review whether satisfactory measures have been put in place,” he said. He said the reopening of schools and health facilities at them would be observed and reviewed at three levels. “The process will be observed by the officials at the divisional level, the zonal level and then at provincial level,” he said.
