The Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) probing the Easter Sunday attacks of 2019 had yesterday (14) recorded statements from two high-ranking police officers.
The officials have been summoned for an “open evidence” hearing, the Commission has said.
Accordingly, Western Province Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Deshabandu Tennakoon and Western Province South DIG S.W. Wickremasinghe were summoned in this manner and had arrived at the Commission at 9.30 a.m. yesterday.
The PCoI temporarily suspended operations due to the Covid-19 outbreak and resumed work on Wednesday (13)
