The handing over of documents related to witness statements recorded by the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) probing the Easter Sunday attacks, to the Attorney General (AG), would be delayed, The Sunday Morning learnt.
Sources at the PCoI said that the documents were yet to be signed by the relevant witnesses.
“The witnesses must sign the statements and submissions they have made to the Commission before they can be forwarded to the AG.”
AG Dappula de Livera has requested witness statements and evidence of certain witnesses to be submitted to the AG's Department.
