PCoI probing political victimisation - Over 1,800 complaints

The Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) probing instances of political victimisation has received over 1,800 complaints so far, The Sunday Morning learnt. A total of 1,863 complaints were received by the PCoI as of Friday (14) evening, senior sources told The Sunday Morning. Sources revealed that the Commission was also to summon a number of key political figures including former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
“The dates have not been fixed yet,” sources added.
Meanwhile, Wickremesinghe has also been summoned to appear before the PCoI probing the Easter Sunday attacks. “Former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and former Minister Sagala Ratnayaka have been summoned before the investigative unit of the Commission on 21 August,” Secretary to the Commission Buwaneka Herath told The Sunday Morning. He added that former State Minister Ruwan Wijewardene had been summoned before the same (Commission) on 19 August.
