The Manning Market which was temporarily shifted to Peliyagoda, along with the fish market, will recommence their operations today (16) after being shut down due to COVID-19 pandemic, Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana stated today.
The decision to relocate the market was taken as several employees at the Manning Market tested positive for COVID-19 recently.
According to the Police Spokesperson, all workers at the Peliyagoda market will be subjected to PCR test as per Health Ministry guidelines.
However, if any worker has not undergone PCR testing, they are requested to contact SSP Nishantha Chandrasekera of the Colombo Central Division to conduct PCR tests.
