The Police today urged the people in newly isolated areas to comply with the health guidelines after it has been revealed that some people in isolated areas disregard guidelines.
Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said some people do not assist health authorities especially in respect of PCR rests.
“If a person rejects orders of health authorities, they could be arrested and dealt with quarantine regulations. We have already taken action against a number of persons in Atalugama for violating quarantine rules and regulations,” he said.
