The President of the Public Health Inspector's Union Upul Rohana today (23) stated that in order to control the rapidly spreading wave of the Covid pandemic in Sri Lanka, a lockdown of at least three or four days is necessary.
He stated that he had also submitted his request to the Health Ministry.
"A special meeting is to be held this afternoon with the health authorities and the President and we hope to discuss it there," he said.
Rohana stated that he was hopeful for a positive response from the President in this regard.
