Premadasa International Cricket Stadium. The Dambulla openers Niroshan Dickwella and Phil Salt gave their team a cracking start putting on 97 runs in 7.4 overs before Dickwella was out for 37 runs. Phil Salt cracked five sixes and four fours in making 64 off 27 deliveries after which Skipper Dasun Shanaka (24) and Ramesh Mendis 22 not out helped boost their team's total to 190 for seven in 20 overs. The Kandy Warriors were never in the hunt after they lost their top three batters for 28 runs and thereafter were 88 for six when Skipper Angelo Perera, Kamindu Mendis, and Asela Gunaratne were all back in the pavilion. Only Roman Powell added some colour to an otherwise lacklustre scorecard when he pummeled 42 runs inclusive of four sixes and one four off 21 balls, as the Warriors ended up scoring 170 for eight in their allotted 20 overs. Chief scores: Dambulla Giants 190/7 in 20 overs (Phil Salt 64, Niroshan Dickwella 37, Dasun Shanaka 24; Lahiru Kumara 3/34, Al-Amin Hossain 2/36) Kandy Warriors 170/8 in 20 Overs (Roman Powell 42, Sachindu Colombage 27 n.o., Angelo Perera 24; Nuwan Pradeep 3/31, Ramesh Mendis 3/21) Player of the Match - Phil Salt (Dambulla Giants)
