The Former OIC of the Police Narcotic Bureau (PNB), IP Neomal Rangajeewa was seen obstructing the duties of a photo-journalist of a private media outlet this afternoon at the premises of the Colombo High Court today.
Video footage shared on social media shows Rangajeewa dragging away the photo-journalist to the police post located at the court premises.
The memory chip of the camera had also been removed by Rangajeewa and a person accompanying him.
The incident had taken place when the photo-journalist had attempted to take a picture of Rangajeewa.
IP Neomal Rangajeewa was to appear before court over the Welikada Prison Massacre case as he has been named one of the suspects in the case.
The photo-journalist has reportedly filed a complaint with the Police over the incident.
