Minister of Fisheries Douglas Devananada commenting on the carcasses of dead sea turtles washing ashore following the MV X-Press Pearl incident, says that the images in circulation pertaining to dead sea turtles are those which have been taken off the internet.
Following the MV X-Press Pearl incident, a large number of dead sea creatures have been washing ashore on both the Southern and Northern coastal areas of Sri Lanka.
Dewananada in a statement to the media said that there was no truth to images as they had been copied off the internet.
