Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has challenged Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) Anura Kumara Dissanayaka in parliament today (05), stating that if an alternate economic recovery plan has been thought of by Dissanayaka, it should either be presented to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa or be tabled in Parliament.
Further, Wickremesinghe mentioned that he is ready to step down from his position as the Prime Minister if Dissanayaka is ready to solve he economic crisis in the country within a period of 6 months.
Earlier yesterday, Dissanayake made allegations against Wickremesinghe mentioning that despite the promises made by the him upon accepting the position, no economic recovery plan has been presented to Parliament.
